Our Silver and Gold DofE participants recently completed two unforgettable expeditions that tested their endurance, teamwork and resilience.
Sixty Senior 11 pupils took on the rugged terrain of the Black Mountains in South Wales for their Silver Award, trading GCSE stress for three days of hiking, camping, and classic expedition cuisine (think pasta and pesto!).
Just days later, our Gold Award participants set off to the Pyrenees for a breathtaking—and demanding—four-day trek through Europe’s second-highest mountain range. The adventure featured steep climbs, challenging descents, and even a dramatic Via Ferrata finale.
With stunning scenery, outstanding teamwork, and unshakable determination, both expeditions became defining moments in our pupils’ DofE journeys.
