Games and PE
Sport forms a valuable part of the Curriculum with pupils throughout the Prep school enjoying weekly Games and PE lessons.
PE |
---|
Prep pupils have one 50-minute PE lesson per week. A diverse range of sports have been chosen to equip pupils with the key technical and tactical skills that form the foundations of a variety of team and individual sporting endeavours and to inspire a lifelong love of sport. Lessons are personalised dependent upon the individuals within the class to provide a broad experience for all. |
Games |
Games offer pupils the chance to focus on a key team sport for each term. Many will also compete against schools across the borough and beyond. Games include Football, Hockey, Netball and Rugby in the autumn and spring terms and Cricket and Athletics in the summer term. Alongside our onsite facilities, Ibstock also uses the following as additional spaces for games: The Bank of England, Rosslyn Park, Barn Elms Sports Trust, Richmond Park and Barn Elms Community. |
House Sport
All pupils, regardless of ability, take part in House Sport events which encourage teamwork and trying new skills while supported by their House.
These culminate in the annual Prep Sports Day.

Co-Curricular & Fixtures
A wealth of opportunity exists for pupils to participate in co-curricular activities.
With a regularly updated timetable, co-curricular activities provide yet another way to make Sport accessible to pupils of all abilities. Examples of Prep co-curricular sports include Tennis, Cycling, Gymnastics, Karate, Basketball, Table Tennis and Cross Country.
We also play competitively with Schools across the borough and beyond, with teams for all our major sports and a range of fixtures held both during and after school.
