As part of their History topic, ‘School Days’, Prep 1 visited Holly Lodge in nearby Richmond Park.
The pupils were involved in a workshop where they experienced being in a classroom in Victorian times. Mrs Sawyer taught them the 3 R’s – Reading, Writing and Arithmetic, as well as the strict rules of discipline. The pupils were fascinated by the differences between past and present classroom environments.
