SATURDAY 18 JANUARY 2025
An assessment day for pupils wishing to join Prep 3 in September 2025.
On the 7+ assessment day, children will sit papers in Reading, Arithmetic and Mathematical Reasoning (non-verbal reasoning). The assessment follows the National Curriculum so will cover what children have already learnt at their current school. We encourage parents not to tutor their child as this is not helpful in providing an accurate picture of their current level or their potential.
Children also take part in a number of workshops focusing on subjects offered at Ibstock. These are designed to be fun and give children the opportunity to show how they work with others and how they might enjoy the activities that we have on offer. We want to get to know each child, so as part of these workshops we are looking to see how they engage with other children and whether we think they will enjoy the Ibstock curriculum.
MID FEBRUARY 2025
If a child is successful following their assessment, a formal offer of a place will be made.
Offers will be sent to you via email. You will be asked complete an acceptance form and pay the acceptance deposit. Our offer of a place will be deemed to have lapsed if it is not formally accepted by the deadline stated in the offer.
25 FEBRUARY 2025
All parents whose children hold an offer will be invited into school on the afternoon of Thursday 6 February.
The event will provide you with the opportunity to hear from key members of staff, ask questions and have another look at the School before making your final decision.
MONDAY 3 MARCH 2025
You will be asked to confirm acceptance of our offer by the deadline stated in the offer letter and pay an acceptance deposit of £2,000.
The deposit is non-refundable should the place subsequently be declined if more than 14 days have elapsed after the acceptance deadline. This deposit will be returned to you when your child leaves the School.
