Pride Day
We celebrated Global Pride Day on June 27, embracing our values of kindness and inclusivity with musical performances on the Terrace.
Pupils and staff were encouraged to wear colourful clothes for the day and contribute £1 to the akt charity, which provides support and training for vulnerable and homeless young people who identify as LGBTQ. Many proudly wore the Ibstock Pride 24 badge, designed by Alex (Senior 7), along with glitter henna tattoos.
Our rugby first XV joined sixty other schools across the country in #ReadWithPride 2024 by celebrating Simon James Green’s new YA title ‘The Big Ask’. It’s a brilliant comedic prom tale of fun, friendship and facing your fears.
