1. Visit Us
The best way to get a feel for our School is to visit us.
We warmly invite you to see the School for yourself, and meet our wonderful pupils and staff.
We offer open events and small group tours throughout the academic year. Please click on the link below to book your place at one of our admissions events.
2. Register Your Child
BY FRIDAY 31 OCTOBER 2025
To apply for a place you will need to register your child by clicking on the button below.
For Senior School entry in September 2026, you must register your child by our deadline of Friday 31 October 2025.
We operate a rolling registration system and welcome early registrations for later years. The fee for registration is £195, which you will be asked to pay upon submission of the form. Please note that this fee is non-refundable but may be transferred to a subsequent year.

3. Access Arrangements
BY THURSDAY 31 OCTOBER 2024
As part of the registration process, we ask if there are any special accommodations that we can make for your child on our assessment days.
In order to make the necessary accommodations, we will need a letter from your child's current School outlining a confirmation of arrangements made for any assessments taken at the School. We will also ask for any other supporting documentation such as a report from an Educational Psychologist or equivalent.
4. 11+ Admissions Information Evening
TUESDAY 4 NOVEMBER and THURSDAY 6 NOVEMBER 2025
All registered applicants will be warmly invited to attend one of our 11+ Admissions Information Evenings.
Further details on how to book will be provided closer to the time.
5. Assessment Stage One
ISEB results must be received by THURSDAY 1 DECEMBER 2025
All applicants registered by the deadline will invited to submit their ISEB results
- The first stage of the assessment process will comprise:
Submission of ISEB results by THURSDAY 1 DECEMBER 2025.
All applicants registered by the deadline will sit the online ISEB Common Pre-Tests which are multiple-choice, adaptive and age-standardised tests covering:
- English
- mathematics
- verbal reasoning
- non-verbal reasoning.
The ISEB Pre-Tests are usually completed at your child’s current school on a date decided by them prior to the Ibstock deadline for results. Any applicants unable to sit the ISEB Pre-Test at their school are welcome to sit their tests at Ibstock on Saturday 29 November 2025.
Overseas candidates can take the ISEB Pre-Tests at the British Council or an approved testing centre.
It is quick and simple to register your child for the ISEB Pre-Tests through the ISEB Guardian Portal. The Guardian Portal for candidates looking to sit their tests for September 2026 entry will open in June 2025.
We will ask all registered applicants’ to share their child’s ISEB Applicant ID with us.
6. Scholarship Application
THURSDAY 1 DECEMBER 2025
All registered applicants will be invited to submit scholarship applications
We are pleased to offer a range of scholarships for academic and sporting excellence, as well as those who excel in the expressive arts and music. We are also proud to offer scholarships for those with a proven track record in critical thinking and charitable/community endeavour. Scholarships are granted based on merit and are separate to Bursary applications, which are granted based on financial circumstances. Scholarships may sit alongside bursaries for qualifying pupils. Scholarships will typically last for the duration of a pupil's time at the school, subject to the pupil maintaining sufficiently high standards. We will host a webinar to guide you through the scholarship application process on the evening of Wednesday 12 November 2025.

7. Assessment Stage Two
MONDAY 15 & TUESDAY 16 DECEMBER 2025
All applicants will be invited to Ibstock for the second stage of the assessment
- The second stage will comprise of:
- A Learning Workshop. In small groups, applicants will take part in a fun problem-solving task where there is no single right answer. This group activity will assess your child’s ability to solve problems, think laterally and work both independently and as part of a team.
- A 30 minute written paper where applicants will have the opportunity to complete a short creative writing task.
- All applicants will have the opportunity to meet ‘one-to-one’ with one of our teachers so that we can get to know them a bit better and so that the applicants can learn more about the opportunities on offer at Ibstock.
- There will be several sessions running throughout the day and further details will be provided closer to the time.
8. Offer Decisions
FEBRUARY 2025
Offer decisions will be sent via email.
If you have applied for a bursary or a scholarship, decisions on these applications will be sent separately.
9. Afternoon For Offer Holders
LATE FEBRUARY 2026
We invite all Offer Holders and their families back to Ibstock Place School to meet pupils, staff and current parents
and to have anotherlook at the School before making a final decision.
10. Deadline For Offer Acceptance
MONDAY 2 MARCH
You will be asked to confirm acceptance of our offer and pay an acceptance deposit of £2,000 (which is returned to you when your child leaves the school).
The deposit is non-refundable should the place subsequently be declined if more than 14 days have elapsed after the acceptance deadline.
11. Welcome Event
EARLY JULY 2026
All pupils who have accepted offers will be invited back to the School to take part in a series of fun activities.
They will also have an opportunity to get to know their future classmates better and to explore the School campus, and meet key members of staff, such as their Tutor and Head of House.
