U15 Girls Football Victory
A huge congratulations to the U15 Football girls’ team for securing victory in the 2024 ISFA Girls Shield finals with a 3-1 win against Rossall School.
Our U15 girls' football team travelled to Hertfordshire County Ground to play in the National Shield Final against Rossall School. After months of preparation following their 3-2 semi final win against Forest school, we are pleased to announce that the team came away triumphant!
The match got off to a fierce start with Rossall dominating possession and scoring first. Ibstock remained calm and persistent, winning a free kick for 40 yards to bring the score to 1-1 at half time. The second half kicked off with Ibstock winning a corner within the first five minutes. We maintained composure as Rossall tried to make a come back, our goalie making a save when it mattered most. The final score was 3-1 to Ibstock - National Shield Champions!
This is the second time Ibstock has won a national football competition. To do so against a school which has remained unbeaten in a final for the last 5 years speaks volumes as to the levels of performance from the team. Huge congratulations to all involved!
